At letter from Fr. Khanh Nguyen, Pastor of Family #21:
Dear St. Francis Families,
God calls each of us...
...in unique ways to participate in His divine mission. One way we can respond to His call is by using the gifts and talents He has entrusted to us in service of the Church and the building up of His Kingdom here on earth.
As faithful stewards, we are invited to recognize that everything we have—our time, our talents, and our treasure—is a gift from God. Stewardship is not just about giving; it is about living a life of gratitude and discipleship, offering ourselves in love and service to God and neighbor.
I invite you to prayerfully discern how you can share your talents/gifts/skills through one of the many ministries at St. Francis of Assisi. Whether your gifts lie in hospitality, teaching, music, maintenance, or in a leadership role, there is a place for you in the life of our parish community.
Enclosed you will find a brochure listing our parish ministries on one side and a guide to identifying your God-given talents on the other. Please take time in prayer to reflect on how you might serve. Once you’ve discerned where you feel called, kindly return the completed form by mail, collection basket, drop off at the parish office or using this link to submit online: Stewardship of Talent
Let us remember the words of St. Paul: “there are different forms of service, but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone” (1 Corinthians 12:5–6).
I encourage you to take a step in your faith journey. Your talent is God’s gift to you. How will you use them to glorify God and serve His Church?
In gratitude,
Fr. Khanh Nguyen
Pastor of Family #21
