This is the Sacrament in which sins committed after Baptism are forgiven. It results in reconciliation with God and the Church. (US Catholic Catechism for Adults, Glossary)

Reconciliation

The Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as the Sacrament of Penance or Confession, has three elements: conversion, confession and celebration. In it we find God's unconditional forgiveness, and as a result we are called to forgive others.

The Sacrament of Penance may be experienced through the following opportunities:

Weekly Reconciliation Opportunities for Confession are available each Saturday between 4:00 and 4:30 PM, before the evening Vigil Mass. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is heard in the Sacristy. Enter the church through the southwest doors on 21st Avenue SW. If the door to the Sacristy is closed please wait, someone’s Confession is being heard. While you wait please stay six feet from everyone else that is waiting, wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth and use hand sanitizer before you enter the Sacristy. When you go in, close the door. Sit in one of the chairs provided, either behind the screen or face-to-face with Father.
